In a significant initiative under the Swachhata Hi Seva and Ayushman Pakhwada campaigns, the Swachh Wakethan was launched today at Nehru Stadium in Indore. The event commenced at 6:30 AM with Municipal Commissioner Shivam Verma flagging off the cleanliness awareness rally, which journeyed through GPO Chowk, BRTS, and Shivaji Vatika before returning to the stadium. This rally, aimed at promoting the message of cleanliness, saw participants taking a solemn oath to uphold sanitation standards in the community. Health Officer Ashwini Shukla elaborated on the importance of the event, mentioning the cultural programs and Zumba dance sessions organized to enhance the energy and enthusiasm of the gathering. With over 1,000 representatives from prominent organizations—including the Municipal Corporation, district administration, police, Guruji Seva Nyas, Lion’s Club of Indore, Index Hospital, Medanta Hospital, and Arvindo Hospital—participating, the rally showcased a collective commitment to a cleaner, healthier Indore. This vibrant display of community spirit reinforces the ongoing efforts to raise awareness about hygiene and sanitation, ensuring a brighter future for the city.
