Index Super Speciality Hospital successfully organized the “Integrated Trauma Care Conference (ITCC) 2026” at Hotel Sayaji, Indore, with the aim of promoting excellence, innovation, and multidisciplinary collaboration in trauma management. Based on the theme “Resuscitation to Rehabilitation,” the national-level conference brought together renowned experts, surgeons, and healthcare professionals from across the country. The conference focused on the comprehensive management of critically injured patients, covering the entire continuum of care—from emergency resuscitation to rehabilitation. The event served as a valuable academic platform to discuss the latest advancements in trauma care, modern treatment techniques, and coordinated clinical approaches, ultimately contributing toward improving outcomes for critically ill and injured patients.
The conference commenced with a ceremonial lamp lighting in the presence of distinguished dignitaries including NMC Chairman Dr. Abhijat Chandrakant Sheth, Chairman of Mayank Welfare Foundation Shri Suresh Singh Bhadoria, Head of Orthopedics Lt. Col. (Retd.) Dr. Ajay Singh Thakur, Dr. D. K. Taneja, Dr. Deepti Singh Hada, Dean Dr. Sanjeev Narang, Vice Dean Dr. Pawan Bhambani, and Director Nursing Deepak Mishra, along with other esteemed guests. Lt. Col. (Retd.) Dr. Ajay Singh Thakur shared insights into the objectives and significance of the conference, while keynote speaker Dr. D. K. Taneja highlighted modern approaches in trauma treatment. Conference Chairperson Dr. G. S. Patel presented important trauma-related statistics. Internationally renowned scientist Prof. Dr. Dragan Primorac shared his expertise in trauma care and arthritis, along with insights from his 400+ international research publications, emphasizing the importance of advanced research in improving patient care.
The scientific sessions covered a wide range of critical topics including airway management, emergency tracheostomy, endovascular interventions, shock management, vascular injuries, polytrauma, pelvic injuries, and complex trauma cases. Experts also discussed orthopedic damage control, compound fractures, spine injuries, multi-ligament injuries, the role of radiology, and compartment syndrome. In the concluding session, speakers highlighted important aspects such as PTSD, open globe injuries, hyperglycemia, and head injury management. The conference successfully provided a comprehensive overview of integrated trauma care, offering new perspectives, modern treatment strategies, and collaborative approaches.
